What we collect
- Information you give us through our enquiry form — your name, email address, phone number, property address and the message you send us.
- Records of the work we carry out for you, including before and after photographs.
- Basic, anonymous website usage statistics.
How we collect it
We collect most of this information directly from you — through our enquiry form, by phone, by email, or in person. For website usage statistics, information is collected automatically as you browse the site.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — this is in order to take steps prior to entering a contract, and in our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To carry out and record the work, and to manage our relationship with you — this is necessary for the performance of a contract.
- To keep before and after photographs that evidence and, where relevant, promote our work — this is in our legitimate interests. We will not publish identifiable photographs of your property without your consent.
- To keep our website working and to understand how it is used — this is in our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We share your personal data only where necessary, with:
- Our website and form provider, Netlify, which processes enquiry submissions and hosts the site.
- Our analytics provider, Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not track you across sites.
- Our own tradespeople and, where needed to complete the work, trusted suppliers — only as far as is necessary to do the job.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
This website does not use marketing or tracking cookies. Our analytics (Plausible) is cookieless. Any cookies used are strictly necessary for the site to function, so no cookie-consent banner is required.
International transfers
We keep your data in the UK or EEA where possible. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards — such as UK or EU-approved standard contractual clauses — are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as necessary. We keep enquiry details for a reasonable period to respond and follow up. We keep job records and warranties for as long as needed to honour the 12-month guarantee and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data rectified.
- Have your data erased.
- Restrict how we process your data.
- Object to our processing.
